Let me tell you about this oppressed girl though, she started her own international Hijab company online called Vela Scarves.

Marwa Atik was born and raised in the California to Syrian parents. Her passion for the veil (hijab), combined with her eye for fashion and design expertise, is apparent in her exclusive creations. Vela was born in 2009, when Marwa simply began incorporating her favorite accents, such as ruffles and zippers, into otherwise bland veils and advertising via word of mouth. Marwa also extended her creativity to designing actual techniques of how to wear the veils, based on their respective designs and style.

In 2010, Marwa and her sister, Tasneem Atik Sabri, partnered to officially launch their company and website to bring beautiful, elegant, and affordable veils to women globally.

Liam’s having to turn down the ob he trialed for today, and I can’t get employed at all. I have an interview tomorrow and I’m traveling to a very stupid hard-to-reach business park for it when I know I won’t get it. I have no money. Liam’s in hospital having an MRI scan right now and I’m more worried than he is about it.

I’m just tired and frustrated and I want things to be easier. Bleh.

- I just realized today how much more meaningful this quote is when you remember Dumbledore’s backstory. For years, Albus remained at Gellert Grindelwald’s side even as Grindelwald became more and more corrupt, simply because he was his friend. He turned a blind eye to the immorality of Gellert’s plans. He couldn’t bring himself to stand up to Grindelwald because he didn’t want to jeopardize their friendship. Even as an adult, he didn’t confront Grindelwald until it was nearly too late. Those ten points weren’t awarded to Neville just so Gryffindor would win the house cup. They were awarded because Dumbledore recognized that Neville, at the age of 11, was far braver than the young Albus had ever been. (via cobbledstories)

Pastor: Now, according to a few passages in the bible, homosexuality is a sin.

Pastor: Now, wait, I'm not finished.
Pastor: You know what else the bible defines as a sin? Divorce.
-uncomfortable silence-
Pastor: There are countless passages that talk about how divorce is wrong, and that there are consequences to getting a divorce, such as the wife should be stoned.
Pastor: Yet, I witnessed a divorce just this morning. And I gotta tell you, it was heartbreaking, but I definitely didn't attempt to throw rocks at the wife, even though she was the one who filed for divorce.
Pastor: We choose to overlook the consequences of divorce because time has proven that they're inhumane and cruel.
Pastor: The bible doesn't say anything about the consequences of a homosexual lifestyle. Yet, we seem to be spearheading a campaign to ruin the lives of people we don't even know.

Pastor: The bible states to love thy neighbor. That's it. There are no other rules or restrictions to that passage.
Pastor: So, we as a church family have to support equality with a smile on our face. THAT is the true Christian way.
